從'Come on James'潮文中體驗 ' code switching' ?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qJ5AGFOyrT8

From the previous vedio, we find that the girl in the vedio say a few English to help her expressing her idea.

For example, 'I mean', ' I'm not talking about the money.' ,'OK,fine.'

From the vedio, we easily find that the girl said these because she wanted to be shown as more high-class.

It's so interseting that what we learnt from the lesson can be easily found from the reality.

Did you try to switch the code or even 'one-word code switching' to show your highly privileged?

You are the only one who know the answer of this question. From Miller

  1. Most of the HongKongers use code-switching and one-word code switching in our daily lives as we had been colonized by England for many years. It's habit-forming when we live in a colonial city:)

    1. Thanks for your reply Natalie.
You are right! Historical factor is one of the reasons why Hong Kong people always use 'code-switching'!
