'Typhoon Culture' in Hong Kong

Whenever a typhoon is coming, my social platform will be crowded with people's views on typhoon, which gradually become a unique Hong Kong culture.

What do Hong Kong people think when a typhoon is coming?
"Will the typhoon signal no.8 be hoisted?"
"Will we have day off tomorrow?"
"Of course not! We have the Li's Field in Hong Kong!"

"Li's Field" is very popular in Hong Kong. It even appears in TV drama.

English subtitles of the video
Roy:     Do you think the typhoon will come?
Jayden: Don't you know that there is a field protecting Hong Kong? Even if the typhoon comes, it comes at night and leaves next morning.

You can search "Li's Field" on Wikipedia. You can have both Chinese and English versions.

When a typhoon is coming, Hong Kong people are eager to know whether they have day off the next day.
Last Sunday,my Facebook was full of photos when severe typhoon Usagi was coming.
Below are some examples:

(I hope that)there will be typhoon signal no.10, thunderstorm warning, black rainstorm signal and tornado tomorrow.

Usagi(the typhoon), please don't go!

Usagi-The strongest typhoon on earth     vs     Li's Field-The strongest field on earth

Finally, Hong Kong people had to work for the afternoon. Some people created new lyrics to express their disappointment.

Netizens show their creativity when a typhoon is coming and the creativity creates the 'typhoon culture' in Hong Kong.
